Nepal Police Club has won the title of the 4th Rajshree Janak Gold Cup. In the final match NPC won the match against the visiting team Kanchenjunga Football Club by 2-1 goals.
The police, who started very aggressive attacking scores in 45 second of the match. Police made pressure early in the game after Tirtha Rana, a front-line player, scored a brilliant goal. Immediately in the 12th minute, Captain Jumanu Rai doubled the lead by scoring a header. He scored through Padma Bhattarai’s free-kick.
Kanchanjunga also returned a goal in the first half. In the 19th minute Amar Lama scored a beautiful goal for Kanchanjunga. But then couldn’t score goal for rest of the game.
The winner of the competition Nepal Police Club awarded Rs 10 lakh. Similarly, Kanchanjunga received Rs. 5 Lakh.
This is the first title of the police for this season. Earlier, the police was limited to the runners-up in 3 Gold Cups this season.
