Machindra thrashed Saraswoti to stay alive in the title race

Machindra Club defeated Saraswoti Youth Club by six goals to one in the Qatar Airways Martyrs Memorial A Division League. After this win Machindra have added more pressure to Army in the title race.

In the 40th minutes of the match Defender Devendra Tammang scored a header to give Machindra the lead. He headed home utilizing a cross made by Ranjit Dhimal. With the help of this goal MFC were one up in the 1st half of the match.

In the 2nd half Machindra took full advantage of poor performance from Saraswoti. Dipak Rai doubled Machindra’s lead in the 54th minutes of the match. He dribbled two defenders before scoring a beauty. Just after 5 minutes of 2nd goal MFC tripled their lead. Bishal Rai was the goalscorer for MFC this time. Dipak Rai added 2nd goal from his leg today in the 77th minutes to Extend MFC’s lead.

 The match was already sealed by MFC but Kazim Bushari converted a penalty and got a consolation for Saraswoti.

MFC showed their eagerness to add more goals even after conceding a goal. Adelaja Somede scored the 5th and Andreas Niya scored the 6th goal of the day for Machindra. After this win MFC have 25 points in their name and are at the 2nd place in the League table. Saraswoti are at the relegation zone with just 4 points from last 11 matches.
