England confirms place in semifinal of ICC World Cup

England gave a target of 305 runs which waz a defendabls one but New Zealands batsman couldn’t make it and were all out In 186 runs . England won by 119 runs.

Once again there was a good partnership between Englands opening batsman Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow of 123 runs . James Neesham got the first wicket of the game of Jason Roy on 66 runs of just 61 deliveries . Trent Boult gve second breakthrough for New Zealand as Joe Root was caught by wicket keeper Tom Lantham. Jonny Bairstow Played an excellent innings of 106 runs .

Fourth Batsman From England Jos Buttler was caught at mid off by skipper Kane Williamson in the delivery of Trent Boult. The on form Player of This Tournament Ben Stokes Took his time at first but he could not handle the pressure of Mitchell Santner and was caught by Matt Henry. Skipper Eoin Morgan managed to score Important 42 runs From 40 deliveries. Liam Plunkett and Adil Rashid managed to score 15 runs and 16 runs respectively . No other batsman were able to score double runs for England.

The top Orde batsman of New Zealand were not able to make a good start for New Zealand. Henry nicols was out after scoring no runs. Martil Guptil was only able to score 8 runs from 16 balls. Kane willaimson and Ross taylor scored 27 and 28 runs respectively from 40 and 42 balls.

Tom latham scored 57 runs and became the highest run scorer for NZ of that match . Mitchell Santner scored 12 runs and no other batsman were able to score double runs. Cris Woakes , Jofra Archer , Ben Stokes , Liam Plunket , and Adil Rashid Took 1 Wicket each and Mark Wood took 3 wickets. England are now through to the Semi final but NZ have to wait for the result of Pakistan vs Bangladesh.
