Nepal Police club won the title of 4th Mechinagar gold cup football tournament. NPC defeated Nepal Army in Penalty shootout.
Both teams played 0-0 draw in regulation time before moving to spot kick battle.
Suman Lama, Bharat Shah, Regin Subba scored for NPC. Police’s Ajit Bhandari and Ashish Gurung failed to score. Deep Lama, Tek Bahadur Budhathoki, Satosh Tamang score for Army. Navyug Shrestha, George Prince Karki fail to score.
Manmohan Bahadur Pariyar of the police scored a decisive goal as Army’s Bikash Tamang in Sudden death. Police keeper Roshan Khadka was declared the man of the match. He got 11 thousand rupees.
Police got 10 lakh rupees as a champion. Army as runner up got five lakh rupees. Ravi Paswan of Police was declared the best player of the competition. He got Rs 1 lakh hand.
