Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League as Seville pulled off a stunning 2-1 last 16 win.
Frenchman Wissam Ben Yedder was the Spaniard’s hero with two goals in four minutes late in the second half to leave Old Trafford stunned.
It was a hammer blow for boss Jose Mourinho and his United stars who reckoned they’d done the hard work by scrapping for a 0-0 first leg draw at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium a fortnight ago.
But it proved a dangerous result as United failed to perform and Seville made the vital breakthrough with a superb strike by Ben Yedder after 74 minutes.
Four minutes later the Seville star headed home the second killing the tie and although Romelu Lukaku pulled one back after 86 min utes it was too little too late.
