Nepal defeated Hong Kong by 5 wickets

ICC World Cup, Nepal defeated Hong Kong by 5 wickets in its fourth match. Hong Kong made 153 runs, Nepal had to make 154 runs in 45.1 overs to stay in the fourth place.


After being defeated in 40.4 overs in the group. Nepal became fourth and Hong Kong fifth in the group ‘B’. After the victory of Nepal, Afghanistan has been selected for Super Six. Nepal will now face the last team of group “A’ Papuwa New Guinea in March 15. Hong Kong will face fourth place team of the group ‘A’. The team will now get a one-day recognition of the playoff in Nepal, Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea.

Nepal started a good start today to beat he target 154 run , in whichGyanendra Malla and Anil Sah added 41 runs for the first wicket. After making 26 runs (36 balls, 5 fours), Anil was defeated by Aajaz Khan on the 10th over, while Nepal lost a wicket.


Captain Paras Khadka, who scored Aajaz balls, scored 11 runs and Gyanendra Malla scored 11 runs of bowled by Tankir Afzal. After Dipendra Ari (12) and Arif Sheikh (2), Afzal sent the Pavilion to 20th over 20/30/9/9.

Then, Rohit Poudel and Somal Kami of Nepal were batting. For the sixth wicket, both of them played an important role in 89 runs and brought Nepal to victory. Playing 48 runs in the innings for team, Rohit scored 46 runs from 86 balls with 5 fours, while Sompal also made 37 runs in 40 balls to score with 5 fours.


Hong Kong Bowler Aajaz Khan and Ehsan Khan took 2/2 wickets. Rohit Poudel became   player of the match.
