Nepal Army stops Nepal Police in Jhapa Gold Cup

Nepal Army stops Nepal Police in Quarterfinal of 3rd Jhapa Gold Cup by 1 goal to Nil. Match was very competitive and interesting.

George Prince Karki scores a winning goal for Nepal Army in 43 minutes which lead Nepal Army to semifinal and stops Nepal Police .

Police defender Ajit Bhandari made foul against Army’s Navyag Shrestha and awarded free kick near D box. Army’s player George Prince utilized that free kick and score gold by heading.In the last four-match competition, the Army will face Manang Masyandi Club.

During the game period, Police kept the Army under pressure. Although the attack failed, the police could not open the account.

In the 14th minute of the game, goalkeeper Satrughan Chaudhary denies head of the Army’s captain Bharat Khawas’s head ball. Similarly, the army’s goalkeeper Biskesh Kuthu stopped the shot of Dinesh Rajbansi in the 18th minute of the game. In the 27th minute, the Army, Nirkumar Rai’s shot went just top of the bar.

In the 30th minute, Police’s Regin Subba’s head was also out. In the 59th minute, the Police’s free kid just outside of the D area is saved by Army’s goalkeeper Kuthu. In the 65th minute, goalkeeper Satrudhan saved a ball headed by George Prince in the pass of Bharat Khawas.

George Prince Karki became Man of the Match and got 25 thousand rupees cash prize.
